Last night I had the honor of meeting Tim Holtz at Scrapbook Central in Coconut Creek. Tomorrow I will have the awesome thrill of taking 3 of his classes (Words & Windows, Distress-a-Palooza, and Paradise Found). I preordered this cute shirt which he signed. I was shaking so much as you can see I had a death grip on the "Getting Grungy with Tim" shirt as the photo was taken. Silly me! He is just as cool and down-to-earth as he appears on his blog.

America's Next Top Model - BEST season ever!

I just watched the last episode of ANTM's Cycle 10 on YouTube. I was ecstatic when I heard that Whitney won. For those of you who have not seen this season of the show, Whitney was this season's full figured contestant. I strongly disagree with the fashion's industry definition of full figured being anything above a size 8. The decision to choose Whitney as this year's TOP model sends a clear message to educate the public. Tyra Banks has consistently shown she is a trailblazer when it comes to rewarding unique talent and assessing true potential.
Congratulations Whitney!

Sabrina's gift
I love to give unexpected gifts, so when I found out when my cousin Sabrina's was I created this canvas photo frame for her. Her birth was a mother's day gift to her own mother. This frame took the ink so perfectly I fell in love with it. It made me feel so happy to be giving this to her. She deserves this small gift and so much more.
Happy Birthday, Sabrina!

Random Act of Kindness
I am completely amazed at how many friends I have made through scrapbooking. One of these new friends is Kendra McCracken. I admired this blue flower on one of her creations and she was thoughtful enough to send it to me along with Love Elsie alphabet stickers and rubons. I was moved to tears when I opened this wonderful package. Thanks again, Kendra!

High Definition

My life has been so hectic lately that 10 days (since my last post) have flown by. I have joined the HD revolution with a brand new high definition tv by Samsung. I kept hearing how wonderful they were, so when the television in our living room became irreparable i took the plunge. I have spent the last day and a half with my eyes bugged out and my mouth wide open. The photo does not begin to do the screen justice, but it gives you a general idea. To explain that I spent 2 hours today watching baseball games should give you some idea as to how ga ga i am about the resolution.

New look
Today I treated myself to a professional hair consultation. The shampoo session alone, with its massage reclininh chair, was worth the price. If anyone has not treated themselves to Red Door Spa I strongly recommend it. I lucked out by finding the best hairdresser in Bonaventure. She read my hair perfectly and by the end it was a silky glossy curtain of hair that I fell in love with. I felt like a total supermodel. I bet no one could tell I had not had an hour of sleepMonday, April 7, 2008
New card & envelope
The new Stampin'Up rubons are so wonderful to use. I bought these 6"x6" cards at AC Moore with the sole purpose of using the white rubons and the white Signo gel pen. I also used the pretties set of flowers and some of the felt fusion flowers.

Thanked!
Today I opened up a wonderful package containing my order from wonderfully creative Donna Salazar

I find myself among the fortunate people to now own a few pieces of her artwork. I went on her Etsy shop and purchased these gems. I can hardly wait to use them in a few of my projects. They are gorgeous camo fabric flowers, and dictionary scalloped paper that I was unable to photograph.
Thanks, Donna!

Let them know through email or by posting a comment on their blog so they can pass it on. A new view of myself
I have reached a milestone in my transformation. In December I was barely fitting into a size 16 and as of this week (March 3rd to be exact) I am comfortably wearing a size 10. I have been consistently working out since January and to see these type of results so quick has me tickled pink. Don't get me wrong some days I have felt like I could not wake up early to go to the gym, BUT I forced myself to go. The results are wonderful and I have so many people to thank for mentoring, encouraging, and praying for me. I look forward to displaying the new me in the very near future. Thanks to all my blog friends and my scrapbooking friends. You all inspire me to be a better version of myself.
