Handmade card: Mosaic

From time to time I enjoy working with patterns. In this card I wanted to create a mosaic look with a light grout effect in between. The lines may not be as perfect as I would want them to be but I am happy with the end result.

Thank you for your continued patronage of my blog! I appreciate every one of you taking the time out of your busy day to visit me.

Pug cards: Thanx from Yoshi

This was a commissioned card for a dear family friend, Shirley. The idea was to create a graduated ombre look with the greeting. I decided Yoshi would be allowed to misspell thanks since he is a doggie PLUS it looks cuter with an X.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Handmade card: Rustic thank you

Today I would like to share this rustic thank you card with part of a postcard I picked up during one of our stays at La Quinta. I was searching in my stash for something featuring wildflowers and this postcard had a barn in a field of bluebonnets... Presto!
Thank you for stopping by my blog!

Card: Getting my groove back!

I know it has been a long time since I blogged, but my health has been a top priority since late January. I have just recently been able to get my creativity "groove" back. Thanks to all my friends that have checked on me through my tough times.

Card: Thanks 4 everything

As promised, this is one of the cards I created using the new SU butterfly die. One of the butterflies was actually embellished with the Cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder prior to die cutting and with buttons from SU's Button Bouquet. The yellow paper was embossed with the SU Manhattan Flower impressions die pictured below. The card is SU Kraft paper, and cork paper for added texture.

Cards: Thank you Mic

The image i used for this card is a ceiling detail of a chapel in Dallas. My cousin Mic and his family are very spiritual. I thought this would be the perfect image to express my gratitude for inviting me to their home. I used a transparency, Stampin Up white greeting card, and a Heidi Grace thank you stamp.

Cards: Thank you Jenna

My cousin Jenna loves dragonflies and I thought this was the perfect image to use to send her a thank you card. I printed it on transparency to get the most luminous look possible. I am still looking for the best adhesive to use with transparencies, so if anyone has any suggestions please let me know. I used Stampin Up white greeting cards & ribbon, Heidi Grace thank you stamp, and Heidi Swapp decorative tape (from my stash).

Thanked!

Today I opened up a wonderful package containing my order from wonderfully creative Donna Salazar

I find myself among the fortunate people to now own a few pieces of her artwork. I went on her Etsy shop and purchased these gems. I can hardly wait to use them in a few of my projects. They are gorgeous camo fabric flowers, and dictionary scalloped paper that I was unable to photograph.
Thanks, Donna!
