Sneak peek: You inspire me

Playing with textures is one of my favorite things. This sneak peek shows a detail of a recently created tag.

Accomplishment

I woke up today with a brand new inspiration to create. As it stands even though I'm a Stampin'Up demonstrator I hardly ever MAKE the time to rubber stamp. Watching Kristina's YouTube videos showed me how creating a card a day can kick start anyone's portfolio. I started today with that in mind and when the dust settled I had created 5 cards. Please stay tuned for photos (unfortunately I finished the cards too late to take them).

Receiving this challenge was an amazing gift!
Seeing everyone's take on this challenge has been a bigger inspiration than I could have imagined.

I love using the scallop punch and I even recycled in this project...



I took Kristina's advice and decided to take these pictures without flash. I love the softness. Using the macro setting of my digital camera is also a favorite. Still getting used to the many features of Photoshop Elements so all the colors may not be as TRUE as I would like them to be.

I noticed the faintest hint of a paisley pattern in the inspiration photo and since I love paisley I decided to use it on my card. The scallops in white and pomegranate i used to create a pillow effect on the card. Here is where I recycled...The circle under the felt fusion flowers is actually from the back of the So Many Scallops (pre-punched) Stamp Set #111409. PLEASE NOTE: I stapled the circle to the card and then roughened the top with basic grey file so the pop dots would adhere.

Color Inspiration Challenge #13

While surfing through YouTube I discovered Kristina's page (Starofmay) and her blog (http://www.kwernerdesign.com/blog). I overdosed on her whole library of videos this weekend and got big time INSPIRATION from them. She posted this as a color inspiration to create a card or scrapbook page. I chose a card because I wanted to use the Stampin'Up long notes cards I had bought a while back. I hope she inspires you as much as she did me.

Joy is...

Last night I created a layout inspired by Melina's Tree Hugger/Celebrate Everyday layout. As soon as I get my digital camera back I will add it to my blog. Working with Jenni Bowlin's paper and chipboard frames was awesome. I look forward to getting all your input.
