Card: Happy Birthday Camila!

Today is my niece Camila's 21st birthday. I keep wondering how in the world do I have a niece who is 21 years old now. I remember when I was picking her up from after care at Gator Run Elementary like it was yesterday.
She is probably cringing as she reads this. I also remember her telling some of her friends I was her "shaky Aunt". I still have shaky hands but I am very proud of the young lady she has become.Like the banner on the envelope reminds her, she has always lived in the moment.

Thank you for stopping by my blog! Enjoy the journey!!!

Card: Caveats of life

Many times I have to remind myself to follow the simple message in this card. I love the feeling I get when I see a butterfly, no matter what has happened before I take a breath and this peace comes over me. In laughter we not only lighten our load but we claim our surroundings. Love is something we should always feel toward others... Be it the person who cut us off in traffic or our significant other, family and friends!

I hope you enjoy this card as much as I enjoyed creating it.

Card: Plaid is the new black

This is a multi-purpose card that came about when I saw a snippet of this wonderful plaid paper. I embellished it with the new SU butterfly cut out of vellum cardstock and Cuttlebug's swiss dots embossing folder.

Cards: You make me happy

This is one of my new favorite Stampin Up products (Fresh Cuts cards #111882). I used leftover SU Berry Bliss paper, Prints pack paper in Apricot Appeal. I embellished the card by punching it with the new SU scallop edge punch. The rubons are from SU's Love & Happiness pack which I colored with Sakura Souffle pens. The finishing touch was SU's Turquoise grosgrain ribbon. This card makes me HAPPY.

Stampin Up - Scallop Edge punch

Today UPS delivered the new Stampin Up scallop edge punch. The card below is one of the ones I created with this new punch. It is so easy to use!

I used the Stampin Up fresh cuts card, SU Prints pack in Real Red, Old Olive ribbon, Love & Happiness rubons, pearl from SU Pretties kit. The card came together in a few minutes.

Cards: Friends

I thought this SU rubon (Love and Happiness) would look better with the idea of friendship than the small flower stamps that came with the Simply Said stamp set. I used the Purely Pomegranate double stitched ribbon (love that color) on Barely Banana cardstock. The color of the Prima flowers are my favorite (blue and purple). Believe it or not the yellow mini rose I found at Walmart (a real steal). If you haven't guessed it from my earlier blog entries I am a big Walmart shopper.

Accomplishment

I woke up today with a brand new inspiration to create. As it stands even though I'm a Stampin'Up demonstrator I hardly ever MAKE the time to rubber stamp. Watching Kristina's YouTube videos showed me how creating a card a day can kick start anyone's portfolio. I started today with that in mind and when the dust settled I had created 5 cards. Please stay tuned for photos (unfortunately I finished the cards too late to take them).

Color Inspiration Challenge #13

While surfing through YouTube I discovered Kristina's page (Starofmay) and her blog (http://www.kwernerdesign.com/blog). I overdosed on her whole library of videos this weekend and got big time INSPIRATION from them. She posted this as a color inspiration to create a card or scrapbook page. I chose a card because I wanted to use the Stampin'Up long notes cards I had bought a while back. I hope she inspires you as much as she did me.
