Handmade envelope: Vintage homemade

This envelope was created for yesterday's handmade card.  Heidi Swapp's Color Magic paper is an amazing product. I love the subtleties I can achieve with inks.

I was looking to make it appear vintagey and dimensional. I love Amy Tangerine's thickers and the little stitch marks on them.

Pug card: Bette's card from Yoshi

This card is Yoshi's way of thanking his friend, Bette for showcasing him in the PDCA Nationals catalog. Yoshi's career is at an all time high and he is a proud little pug. He wanted me to add thank you in different languages (chinese, spanish, english) as he has fans in many countries.

Handmade card: Hugs and Kisses

This is what resulted from my wanting to create a beautifully feminine card. I feel like people fail to send cards like this just to let someone know they are thinking of them. Heart cards are NOT just for Valentine's day. My goal  is to let my loved ones know I love them every day not just on holidays.

Handmade envelope: Gracias envelope to Kathi

I wanted to share this envelope which I created to accompany yesterday's Yoshi card. Heidi Swapp's Color Magic paper is so much fun to work with that I strongly recommend it. You can customize it to any project. I used chalk inks and distress inks, as I have yet to purchase any mists.

It has been forever since I worked with buttons but I had a blast adding these to my envelope label. The black and white twine was tuxedo black by the Twinery (recent purchase on yardsellr), I love the richness of the color!

...and the final product is one I am immensely proud of to say the least. I trust Kathi will love it as much as I did creating it!

Mini Journal: Tread your own path

On a recent trip to Mount Bonnell, I found a piece of tread and a couple of stones. The hike up to the top was amazing and I was thoroughly inspired by nature. My mountain goat "hiking" skills may be rusty but the experience was unforgettable. The circle sheet (to be used as a mask) was left over from a package of dimensional pop dots.

The being of light is how I felt when I completed the hike. The heart was drawn like a vibrant patch for a bright effect. I also wrote some words to describe the feelings needed to endure such a hike. Some of these were: perseverance, passion, pleasure/pain, truth, faith, etc. I even found myself finger painting and remember how fun it felt to just CREATE without limits. It was invigorating, DIRTY but invigorating! LOL

This is the finished product and I admit looking at the completed work I feel victorious.  My calligraphy also looks right at home on this page. The hike was well worth waking up early on a Sunday for the great inspiration!
