High Definition

My life has been so hectic lately that 10 days (since my last post) have flown by. I have joined the HD revolution with a brand new high definition tv by Samsung. I kept hearing how wonderful they were, so when the television in our living room became irreparable i took the plunge. I have spent the last day and a half with my eyes bugged out and my mouth wide open. The photo does not begin to do the screen justice, but it gives you a general idea. To explain that I spent 2 hours today watching baseball games should give you some idea as to how ga ga i am about the resolution.

Gift for expecting mommy

When I found out that my friend Kiki was expecting I knew that I wanted to make her a wonderful scrapbook. She selected the color scheme from the new Stampin'Up Spring/Summer '08 catalog (Simply Scrappin' Special Delivery Girl). I decided to use those colors to make this little clipboard she can use to post her sonogram pictures. The finished project was amped up by using a quirky combination of rub-ons.

The finished product!

Artistic renaissance

While playing with the fluorescent chalk feature of Adobe Photoshop Elements I found how it made blurry snapshots into something akin to an impressionist artwork. I loved how this photo of my friend's dachshund Taco looks.

Spring is in the air!

It is April and the lovely breezes cool off an otherwise overwhelmingly hot day. This photo was taken on one of those gorgeous days that remind me why I love living in Florida.

New look

Today I treated myself to a professional hair consultation. The shampoo session alone, with its massage reclininh chair, was worth the price. If anyone has not treated themselves to Red Door Spa I strongly recommend it. I lucked out by finding the best hairdresser in Bonaventure. She read my hair perfectly and by the end it was a silky glossy curtain of hair that I fell in love with. I felt like a total supermodel. I bet no one could tell I had not had an hour of sleep

New card & envelope

The new Stampin'Up rubons are so wonderful to use. I bought these 6"x6" cards at AC Moore with the sole purpose of using the white rubons and the white Signo gel pen. I also used the pretties set of flowers and some of the felt fusion flowers.

I loved the fancy flower envelope that I bought and embellished with the same rubons and felt flowers. My niece loved her card and thought it was very COOL.
